Connect IkumiHost to Claude
IkumiHost connects to Claude so you can publish and update your website just by asking. You build or edit your site with Claude, say "publish my website", and Claude puts it online at your own address, with hosting, security and a fast worldwide connection handled by IkumiHost.
You need an IkumiHost account. If you don't have one yet, sign up and confirm your email: your 15-day free trial starts straight away.
1. Add IkumiHost to Claude
Choose one of these. Both give Claude the same abilities; the plugin also teaches Claude the best way to publish.
- The IkumiHost plugin (recommended): in Claude, open the directory of plugins and connectors, search for IkumiHost, and add it.
- Only the connector: in Claude, go to Settings → Connectors, choose Add custom connector, and enter this address: https://mcp.ikumihost.com/mcp
2. Connect your account
Click Connect next to IkumiHost. A sign-in page from IkumiHost opens: sign in with the email and password of your IkumiHost account and allow access. You don't need to copy any keys or codes.
3. Allow one internet address
When Claude works with your files, it uses a workspace that blocks internet access unless you allow it, and Claude needs that access to send your files. In Claude, go to Settings → Capabilities → Allow network egress → Additional allowed domains and add this:
- *.ikumihost.com
Without it, Claude can see your website but can't upload new files to it.
4. Publish
Ask Claude in your own words, for example:
- "Publish my website."
- "Change the phone number on the contact page."
- "Add a gallery page with these photos."
- "Delete the old prices page."
- "What's my website's address?"
Claude makes the change and publishes it, then tells you the address so you can check it. The first time Claude uses each IkumiHost action, Claude asks for your permission. Choose Always allow if you don't want to be asked again.
What Claude can do with IkumiHost
- See your site: list the files on your website, read a page, find your site's address, and download your website to the computer to work on it.
- Change your site: upload new or changed files, make a small text change directly on the website, and delete files you no longer want.
- Publish: make every change live in one step.
Claude can only reach your own website. It can't see or change anyone else's.
Good to know
- Contact forms work on their own. If a page has a contact form, IkumiHost connects it when you publish, and each message is emailed to your account address. Claude doesn't need to set up anything else.
- "Coming soon" page. A page that hasn't been published yet shows a simple "Coming soon" page instead of an error. If you see it where you expected content, ask Claude to publish that page.
- Replacing a photo. Visitors' browsers keep photos for a long time, so a replaced photo should get a new file name. Claude knows this when it uses the plugin; if you only use the connector, you can ask for it.
- Limits. Each file can be up to 10 MB, and your plan includes a storage limit, shown on your dashboard.
- After your trial. If your trial ends without a subscription, your website stays online, but Claude can't change it until you subscribe.
Your data
IkumiHost receives only what's needed to host your website: the files you publish and, when you sign in, your account details. It doesn't receive your conversations with Claude. Read the privacy policy for details.
